Oh its just Mewtwo… Wha!? Theres more Smash
Content!?
April’s Nintendo direct
was truly “no joke” (Okay yeah its not original but it still is a good joke) It
started out strong with the newest smash trailer showing off Mewtwo. While its
not a huge surprise but his new moves and final smash were spectacular
nonetheless. The biggest surprise was the hidden character and content that
came out of nowhere, Lucas and some fun new costumes.
After it was pretty
standard, heres some Amiibos most people wont be able to get. I wont lie, I do
like the Amiibo demo system, its totally random and is open to Forest Gump
jokes but its a neat idea to show the old games kids missed out on. After they
showed off Yoshi’s wooly world and the most adorable Amiibos ever. Splatoon
looks cool and of course they got Amiibos for the game. Next were two things have
been long overdue. N64 and DS Virtual Console on Wii U. I’ve heard that DS
games were on the Wii U in Japan and finally we can play them too. I’m actually
impressed how some games change the layout of touch screen, but my favorite
thing is playing games on the gamepad.
Please watch these sizzle reels and please understand!
The middle was kinda
week, while they had some cool indies, puzzle and dragons, attack on titan. Mii
Plaza Updates, It was more of a sizzle reel and no new info. Even though Fatal
Frame announcement was great, it was already leaked.
RPG’s for days!
It’s end was its
strongest, they started showing off their great RPG’s like Fire Emblem, Xenoblade Chronicles, the
Fire Emblem/ Shin Megami Tensei crossover. Just in case you forgot about Mario
Kart 8 they dropped the DLC bomb and the new content will breathe new life into
the game especially the insane 200c mode.
While there hasn’t been too much announced for the fall, there will be a bunch more games to play for the summer and amiibos to collect. I’m especially looking forward to Xenoblade, Mario Kart 8, Puzzles & Dragons, and the new Smash Bros. content. The 4/1/15 Nintendo Direct started stong and finished strong.
